An Evening with Curtis Chin

Join us for An Evening with Curtis Chin, author of the acclaimed memoir Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant. Through heartfelt storytelling and sharp humor, Curtis reflects on his journey growing up Chinese American and gay in 1980s Detroit, exploring themes of identity, family, and belonging.

The discussion will illuminate how his family’s Chinese restaurant became both a cultural haven and a lens through which he learned to navigate race, sexuality, and resilience in America.

Books will be available for purchase, and Mr. Chin will sign copies following the program.
